Research interests
My research area in the UK involved the estimation of density and habitat modeling of the clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) in a primary forest of Peninsular Malaysia.
Since then, I have worked with many different ecology and conservation projects of such wild animals as Caucasian leopard (Panthera pardus ciscaucasica), European bison (Bison bonasus) as well as sturgeon and salmon species in Azerbaijan. During that time, I had the opportunity to work with re-introduction projects, habitat management, community involvement and human-wildlife conflict mitigation.
I participated at a number of international events, meetings and conferences and attended courses on Biodiversity Management (CIPSEM) at TU Dresden, Germany in 2017.
In my current research at the UW Madison, I will be studying land use land cover change in my native land – the Caucasus mountains since as far back as mid-20th century.
Personal interests
I like singing and playing music, hiking and swimming.
