Research interests
The world sure is changing fast, and that both thrills and scares me. In my research, I try to measure those patterns of change well, to predict likely effects on biodiversity, to understand why these changes are happening, and to look into the future, guess what may happen, and dream what this 'wonderful world' could look like.
Personal interests
"... and I think to myself, what a wonderful world." Wild places excite me; knowing that they are there, hiking in them, forgetting about time. I cherish a good meal among friends, the laughter brought out by a bottle of wine, passionate minds searching for solutions. And I am a happy man thanks to my wife and daughter who have opened my eyes and make my life so much richer.
