Research interests
Conservation Biology, Ornithology, and Forest Ecology. I am interested in exploring the factors driving the decline of migratory songbirds. Many songbird species are dependent on forests for migration and reproduction; and many of our forests are threatened and/or are already in decline as habitat. I am particularly interested in studying the impacts that human alterations to the forest have on the reproductive success of these songbirds.
Personal interests
I like to learn about new (to me) species of birds, their habitats, and special traits. I also enjoy biking, hiking, travel, exploring forests, and spectator sports. Go Packers and Badgers!
